How to measure receptacles to choose the right size liner. Round Receptacle: Width = Diameter of Receptacle (the distance across the top of receptacle) x 3.14, then divide by 2. Length = 1/2 of diameter + height of receptacle + 4" to 6" for overhang. Square or Rectangle Receptacle: Width = Length of 2 sides (1 long and 1 short for rectangle). Length = 1/2 of smallest side + height of receptacle + 4" to 6" for overhang.
